ABU Wins The 2019 Annual National Moot Court Competition

Ahmadu Bello University Zaria has won the 2019 Annual National Moot Court Competition organised by the Law Students Association of Nigeria beating University of Maiduguri at knock out stage, Bayero University Kano at semi finals and University of Calabar at the finals. The competition took place at ABU, Zaria between 10th and 11th of July, 2019.
The final round of the Moot Competition was presided over by Yemi Adekunle, Esq, the Chairman, Zaria Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association. Others in the panel of judges were Abubakar Suleiman, Registrar of High Court No. 1 Zaria; A. Y. Mohammed the Chairman Young Lawyers Forum Zaria Chapter; M. K. Abdullah, a lecturer with private Law department, ABU and S.O Lawal, Esq, a managing partner of KAZEEM A. ATITEBI & CO, Ibadan.
ABU emerged as the best in both oral and Memorial assessments thereby winning both trophies. The school was represented at the finals by Oliver Gift Chukkol, Shehu Abdulwaheed Adisa, M.A Agboola and Mustapha Abubakar. Yemi Adekunle, The NBA Chairman commended the counsel that participated in the moot competition for job well done and encouraged them to keep it up.

ENUGU STATE UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

UNIVERSITY OF BENIN
But only five universities participated in the competition. Namely, Bayero University Kano; Nasarawa State University; University of Calabar; University of Maiduguri and ABU, Zaria.
