Ex NBA Ilorin Chair, Mobolaji Ojibara Pays Tribute To Late Emma Aguma SAN, Describes Him As A Man Of Achievement

I share in the pain and agony of the Port Harcourt Branch (and other branches) of NBA and, indeed, the Government and people of Rivers State over the shocking death of the amiable Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Rivers State, Hon Emmanuel Chinwenwo Aguma, SAN. I also commiserate with FIDA Nigeria over the monumental loss of the husband of its Country Vice President.
It would seem especially and expectedly cruel that Hon Ajuma, SAN has been taken from us so soon. But we should remember him, not for what we have lost, but for who he was, and what he achieved while he lived.
The late silk, a distinguished Member of Body of Bencher, is one of those of whom it can truly be said that he made the world a better place, both for those of us who were lucky enough to know him, and for several others who never met him, but have benefited from his tremendous goodwill. I was privileged to have first met him while on National Youth Service in Port Harcourt, Rivers State in 1998.
While we will miss Emmanuel Aguma SAN greatly, for he changed the dynamics wherever he was, with his tremendous sense of humor, with his amazing sense of responsibility, with his warmth, with his intelligence, with his commitment, with the passion for what he did, and above all, with his courage, his death should be a reminder to us all that we should do best what we really want to do as we go through life, as retirement may be a myth for many for of us.
The amiable husband of the energetic Country Vice President of FIDA Nigeria was a person who combined incredible achievement with great personal grace.
Adieu, Emmanuel Chinwenwo Aguma, SAN.
Mobolaji Ojibara, PH.D FHNR
