FG attacks South-East governors over fake news

The federal government described as fake news allegations by governors from the south-east geopolitical zone that the current administration has not done anything in their states.
According to Minister of Information and culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the allegation credited to the governors were either out of media misquotation or misrepresentation. Both, the Minister argued, represent fake news and is condemnable.
“South-east governors are spreading fake news”, he said at the opening of a lecture organised by the Buhari /Osinbajo Campaign Organisation in Kwara state.
“They were quoted to have said the federal government has not done anything in their zone. They were either misquoted or quoted out of context. But whichever, it elevates lies in the face of available evidence.
“No part of this country including the south-east has been left out of the infrastructure renewal of the Buhari administration.”
He said the federal government would soon publish details of projects in each state of the federation stating that each zone of the federation got N16.6 billion from the N100 billion Sukuk loan.
