Some suspected thugs disrupted proceedings at the National Assembly by carrying away the maze on Wednesday (today).
The suspected thugs, said to be numbering 10, invaded the chamber and grabbed the maze. They were said to have immediately escaped in a black SUV.
It remains unclear the aim of the invaders, but reports suggest they launched the attack in support of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, who was recently suspended by the Senate for antagonising the bill proposing a re-shuffle of election sequence in the country.
The maze is the symbol of authority of the parliament.
