Every musician in Nigeria, no matter what genre of music they sing has an indigenous background but only few rep their local roots in music.
9ice and Qdot are two Nigerian artistes who have consistently pride themselves of their Yoruba origin in their music.
He is famously known for being a raw Yoruba musician with lots of hit songs to his credit.
Qdot has been impressive in the music industry from the start of his music career till now.
From his first hit song, “Alomo” to his latest “Aare Ona Kakanfo“, Qdot is very good when it comes to jumping on very raw local Yoruba instrumentals like Bata Drum, Agogo, Sekere and the likes.
In those days when he was still at his best, one can easily notice great knowledge of Yoruba language in his music.
Over the years, 9ice has been known for delivering strong proverbial lyrics while making people dance at the same time. “Gongo Aso“, “Gbamu Gbamu” will always remain our hearts.
One good thing about Alapomeji is that he connects easily with everybody using a blend of English with strong Yoruba lyrics on his songs.
Whether 9ice can flow well on Bata Drum, Omele, Sakara, Agogo, Sekere and other traditional Yoruba instrumentals like Qdot is still in doubt.
At this point, let’s forget about how far but how well these artistes have delivered so far as indigenous singers.
The question of the day is
Between 9ice And Qdot, Who Do You Think Is A Better Indigenous Singer?
