Rusticated LASPOTECH student “attempts to extort colleagues; killed by school’s security operatives”

The killing of an expelled student of the Lagos State Polytechnic, LASPOTECH, Ahmed Amoo by one of the school’s security men, caused panic in the Ikorodu area of the state.
Amoo, according to a student who preferred anonymity, was killed in the late hours of Tuesday, February 20. He was killed very close to the mass communication department of the school.
The incident reportedly threw the institution into a state of confusion, as students formed groups and contemplated the next move.
The school’s Public Relations Officer, Lanre Kuye said Amoo was no longer a student of Laspotech as he had been rusticated before the incident.
“This is what happened the so called student was a rusticated student he is no longer a student of Laspotech and he has been rusticated for a long time,” kuye said.
“He (Amoo) came with his escort into the school extorting student with guns and knife, so our security pursued them to leave the premises.
“Ahmed Amoo was shot in the leg but unfortunately he died in the hospital yesterday morning.”
