England are three games away from World Cup glory as they face a quarter-final clash against Sweden following a dramatic penalty shootout win over Colombia.
Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions beat Colombia 4-3 on penalties – the nation’s first ever shootout victory at a World Cup – to reach the last eight of the tournament.
But despite England’s optimism, Sweden are not about to roll over and offer safe passage to the semi-finals, and could even give the Three Lions a taste of their own medicine at set-pieces.
For England, Dele Alli will be a concern after appearing to struggle with the groin injury which afflicted him earlier in the tournament.
As for Sweden, Celtic defender Mikael Lustig is suspended after picking up a booking against Switzerland.
